No matter how many times I promise myself I’ll finish a knitting project before I start another, I always start another one – or two. And my yarn stash has reached miles in length! So I’m on a yarn diet until I go to Sweden/Iceland/Denmark/Netherlands in 2017 – but that’s another story.
But a yarn diet doesn’t address three wips that I have on my needles right now – my goal is to finish them in 2016!
- Leaving Sideways Shawl. It was a test knit, and although I finished enough repeats to contribute my thoughts to the pattern, it has been languishing for several months now. The yarn is from DyeforYarn, and it’s their amazing Merino/Silk fingering in Dark Dolphin. It’s heaven to knit with!
- Secret Life of Trees Sweater. I’ve been working on this one since May 2015. It’s a fun knit, but as usual I get distracted by shiny new projects. For it I’m using Sunday Knits Eden 3 ply in Bronze.
- Entangled Stitches Gloves. This has been on the needles since Feb 2014, and it’s the closest to being finished. I think I just need to knit the fingers/thumb and they are done. I’ve knit them two at a time on different circulars. I’m using Alchemy: Yarns of Transformation Juniper in Red Run.
Once these three are done, my next project will be to knit a Stranded Sweater-with Steeks! 😮
